Technologies of Violence

Technologies of Violence - Scholars' Database

This is the initial version of the Technologies of Violence Database. The database will be revised at a later date, to include more entries and perhaps a new format.

The Technologies of Violence project seeks to gain new insight into the nature, uses, and consequences of technologies of violence in the early modern global world, by bringing together scholars with an interest in this topic. This page contains a working database of scholars working on ths topic across a range of disciplines, time-periods, and regions. The aim of the database is to allow scholars to connect, and so help shape new projects by bringing potential collaborators together as they form their ideas and focuses for workshops, publications, and other research outputs.

If you are interested in being added to the database, please use the contact form below to contact me. Any and all scholars can join the database, regardless of career stage or academic affiliation. If you wish to leave the database, please contact me and I will remove you from the page as soon as is possible.

Notes on the database: this is an evolving project, and the format and content of this page may change. Scholars in the database may suggest any key words they find useful for the 'interests' section, but I reserve the right to trim them or make minor adjustments to them. The main languages section is to indicate in which languages scholars are happy speaking and writing in order to collaborate on projects, to facilitate international cooperation beyond the English language; many of the scholars in the database use languages other than those listed for research.
